Allergies and medications at a glance: the health roster, room alerts and menu warnings

Modified on: Thu, Oct 29, 2026, 7:23 AM

Know which children have allergies or take medication, see a warning on their tile in the room, and let families see when a menu item contains something their child is allergic to.

Who this is for

  • Directors and office staff run the health roster.
  • Room staff see the alerts on their room's check-in list.
  • Parents see their own child's allergies and the menu warnings.

The Health/Allergy/Medication Roster

  1. Select the Dashboards icon in the toolbar and open the Health lens.
  2. Open the Check-In Reports tab and select the Health/Allergy/Medication Roster chip. Scroll the chip row sideways if you do not see it.
  3. The list shows each child with allergies or medication: the allergies, the medications and the highest severity. Search by name, or export it as CSV or PDF.

Print it for the room or the kitchen, and print it again whenever a family updates their child's health record.

Alerts in the room

Open the room's Check-In/Out list (the room's star icon, then Check-In/Out). A warning triangle beside a child's name means a health alert: red for severe, amber for milder. Tap it for Health Alert, with the allergies and conditions.

What parents see

Your child's health record

Open the left menu, tap your child under Timelines, then the Health tab. You see the allergies with their severity, conditions and immunizations. Tap Open health profile for the details the center keeps, such as where an EpiPen is stored.

Allergen warnings on the menu

Tap … in the bottom bar, then Meal Menus, and pick the center. When a menu item contains something your child is allergic to, you see an Allergen warning with your child's name and the item. Days with no conflict say "No allergen flags for this menu".

Only your own children are checked. The warning depends on the center tagging each menu item with its allergens, so always check with the center if you are unsure.

Troubleshooting

  • A child's allergy is missing. Update their health profile, or ask the family to send an update from Send Updated Records.
  • No warning on the menu, but the child is allergic. Check the menu item is tagged with the allergen, and that the allergy on the child's profile uses a common name, such as "Peanuts".
