Publish your center's menus, snacks and CACFP meal records

Modified on: Thu, Oct 29, 2026, 7:23 AM

Publish your breakfast, lunch, snack and supper menus so families see them in the app, with a warning when an item contains their child's allergen. If your center takes part in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Bloomz also checks each meal's food components and keeps the meal records your sponsor asks for. Bloomz does not file CACFP claims.

Who this is for

Center directors and office staff publish menus. Parents read them.

Step 1 — Open Meal Menus

From your center's More menu, under Communicate, select Meal Menus. Choose a meal with the chips and switch between Day and Week. Each published day is listed with its items and buttons to edit, hide, copy or delete it.

Step 2 — Publish a menu

  1. Select + Publish menu.
  2. Choose the meal, and Single day or Whole month, and the date.
  3. Choose List items and add each item with its allergen chips (Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Soy, Fish, Shellfish, Sesame) and diet tags. Or choose Attach PDF for a printed menu.
  4. Leave Notify families on to tell families. Switch on Also post to the public app to show it without a login.
  5. Select Publish menu, or Save draft to finish later.

Tag allergens on every item. Families' allergen warnings come from these tags, and a PDF menu cannot be checked.

To enter a month at once, use Import CSV. Export month downloads it.

Step 3 — Turn on CACFP records

  1. On the CACFP meal records card, switch on Turn on CACFP.
  2. Enter your Sponsor name and Site number, then Save.
  3. Select Eligibility categories and set each child to Free, Reduced price or Paid. Families never see this page.

Step 4 — Check the week's menu

Select Check menu and choose the age group. Each meal shows "All required components listed" or what is missing, for example "Missing: Milk". It checks which food components are listed, not serving sizes. It is a planning aid, not a finding of compliance.

What parents see

Parents tap … in the bottom bar, then Meal Menus, and pick the center. They see each day's menu with its allergens, and a warning when an item contains their child's allergen.
