How to access PERMISSIONS, and utilize their functions. (Class Level Edition)



How to access PERMISSIONS from your device: 

  1. Select your class which is located on the left navigation panel.



  1. Click on the “settings” tool (the cogwheel icon).

  2. Select “Edit Settings” 

  1. Select  “Permissions”, located between “Features” and “Calendars” at the top of the page.

  1. You will be provided with a page that includes all permissions available to you Within this page, you will have the ability to turn permissions off and on to support your desired outcomes. 







How to utilize the function of each permission, and the purpose 

each permission serves: 


PARENT PERMISSIONS


The following two features offer 3 different option permissions:

Allow parents to post to class? (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings).

With this permission enabled, parents can post updates, share photos, and participate in discussions directly within their child's class group, fostering seamless communication and involvement in their education.

(The “with moderation” setting allows the designated moderator (teacher) to review and approve posts before they go live, ensuring a safe and constructive environment for all.) 

Allow parents to comment on posts: (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings).

Parents can engage directly with their child's posts, adding meaningful comments to their updates, achievements, and more. 

(The “with moderation” setting allows a designated moderator (teacher) to review and approve comments on posts before they go live, ensuring a safe and constructive environment for all.) 



Allow parents to create photo albums: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

Parents can effortlessly create beautiful photo albums filled with their child's most cherished school year memories. Whether it's that first school play or a heartwarming field trip, Bloomz makes it easy to curate and share these memories with friends and family. With just a few taps, parents can build personalized albums that capture the essence of their child's journey. 

(With this setting enabled, parents can create posts and add photos that will be visible at the class level. Consequently, any user associated with your classroom will have access to the posted photos.)

Allow parents to add items to student portfolios: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

With this permission enabled, parents can play an active role in shaping their child's educational journey by contributing to student portfolios. Bloomz makes it easy for parents to share milestones, achievements, and memorable moments directly into their child's portfolio, fostering a deeper connection between home and school.



STUDENT PERMISSIONS

Allow students to view portfolios of other students? (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

With this permission enabled, students can view portfolios of their peers, fostering a dynamic learning community where creativity and knowledge-sharing flourish.

Students have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas directly on posts, fostering meaningful interaction and collaboration. From assignments to class updates, Bloomz empowers students to comment, ask questions, and participate actively in their learning journey.

Allow students to submit portfolios: (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings).
