How to access PERMISSIONS, and utilize their functions. (District Level Edition)



How to access permissions from your device: 

  1. Select your district which is located on the left navigation panel.


  1. Click on the “settings” tool (the cogwheel icon). 

  1. Select “Edit Settings” 

  1. Select  “Permissions”, located between “Features” and “Calendars” at the top of the page.

  1. You will be provided with a page that includes all permissions available to you. Within this page, you will have the ability to turn permissions off and on to support your desired outcomes. 







How to utilize the function of each permission, and the purpose 

each permission serves: 



GENERAL PERMISSIONS

Allow Members to Join with Parent Access Codes: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

Bloomz offers a convenient way for members to join with Parent Access Codes. This feature allows new members to easily connect to the school distirct community by entering a unique access code. Joining is simple and secure, ensuring seamless integration into the Bloomz platform. 


ADMIN PERMISSIONS

Allow school admins to post to the district: (toggle the green switch within your account to change feature settings).

School administrators can post directly to the district level, facilitating seamless communication across all schools within the district. This feature enables administrators to share important updates, announcements, and district-wide initiatives efficiently. Keep everyone informed and connected with Bloomz's enhanced posting capabilities.








PARENT  PERMISSIONS

Parent-Parent communication: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

With this permission enabled, parents are able to message other parents within the entire district community. This parent-to-parent communication allows parents to connect, collaborate, and support one another within your school community. With Bloomz, parents can share insights, resources, and encouragement, creating a network that strengthens our educational efforts. This platform fosters a cohesive partnership between district and home, promoting a positive environment where parents can actively participate in their child's learning and development. 

The following two features offer 3 different option permissions

Allow parents to post to school: (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings).

With this permission enabled, parents can post updates, share photos, and participate in discussions directly within your school district community, fostering seamless communication and involvement in their children's education. This feature enhances the connection between home and your district. 

(The “with moderation” setting allows designated moderators to review and approve posts before they go live, ensuring a safe and constructive environment for all.) 



Allow parents to comment on posts: (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings). 

Parents can engage directly with their school district’s community posts, adding meaningful comments to their updates, achievements, and more within your school district community. This involvement fosters a deeper connection between parents and the school, enriching the educational experience and celebrating student successes together.

(The “with moderation” setting allows designated moderators to review and approve comments on posts before they go live, ensuring a safe and constructive environment for all.) 


Allow parents to create photo albums: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

Parents can effortlessly create beautiful photo albums filled with their children's most cherished school year memories. Whether it's the first school play or a heartwarming field trip, Bloomz makes it easy to curate and share these moments with friends and family. With just a few taps, parents can build personalized albums that capture the essence of their children's journey, fostering a deeper connection within your district’s  community.

(With this setting enabled, parents can create posts and add photos that will be visible at the district level. Consequently, any user associated with your district will have access to the posted photos.)





TEACHER  PERMISSIONS

Allow teachers to create classes: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

Teachers can easily create classes with this feature enabled. This feature empowers educators to set up and manage their own class groups, facilitating seamless communication with students and parents. With the ability to share updates, assignments, and announcements directly within their class, teachers can enhance engagement and streamline classroom management.

Allow teachers to verify students: (toggle the green switch within your account to change permissions settings).

Teachers can verify students directly within the platform. This functionality enhances security and ensures accurate class rosters by allowing educators to confirm student identities. Streamline the verification process, maintain up-to-date records, and ensure a secure and organized classroom environment with Bloomz's student verification feature.

Allow teachers to view student contact information:  With this feature enabled,  teachers can view student contact information directly within the platform. This feature streamlines communication, giving teachers quick and easy access to important contact details. With this functionality, teachers can connect with students and parents more efficiently, enhancing collaboration and support.

Allow teachers to edit member profile data: Teachers can edit member profile data directly within the platform. This new feature allows teachers to update and maintain accurate information for students and parents, ensuring communication remains efficient and up-to-date. 

Allow teachers to view member profile data: Teachers can access member profile data with this feature which empowers them to view important information about students and parents directly from their Bloomz account. With access to member profiles, teachers can better personalize communication, understand student needs, and foster stronger school-home partnerships. 

Allow Subgroups to Post & Announcements: Subgroups have the ability to post announcements and updates. This feature allows for greater flexibility and targeted communication within your organization. Whether it's a team, club, or department, each subgroup can now share important information directly with their members.










STUDENT PERMISSIONS


The following feature offers 3 different option permissions:


Allow students to comment: (click the arrow within your account to change permissions settings). 

With this feature, students can comment at the school level! This feature allows students to actively engage in school-wide discussions, ask questions, and share thoughts directly within their school community.
