Check-in reports for licensing: DCYF attendance, monthly attendance and attendance edits

Modified on: Thu, Oct 29, 2026, 7:21 AM

Download the attendance records Washington's Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) asks a licensed center to keep: every sign-in and sign-out with who signed, a monthly summary, and a log of every attendance change.

Who this is for

  • Center directors see every report on this page.
  • Room teachers see the general check-in reports for their own room, but not the DCYF, monthly or audit reports.
  • Billing staff do not see check-in reports.

Step 1 — Open Check-In Reports

  1. Select the Dashboards icon (four squares) in the toolbar, from Home or from your center.
  2. Open the Health lens, then the Check-In Reports tab.
  3. The reports are a row of chips. Scroll the row sideways to reach DCYF attendance (Washington), Monthly attendance and Attendance edits (audit).

DCYF attendance (Washington)

One row per sign-in or sign-out: transaction ID, your SSPS provider number, the child, date, room, sign-in or sign-out, time, who signed and their relationship to the child. Choose the dates with the date range button, pick CSV or PDF, and select Export.

If your SSPS provider number is missing, the report says so. Add it in Attendance Settings, then export again.

Monthly attendance

Pick the month with the arrows. Summary shows each child's days attended, total hours and any visit left open. Daily shows each visit: date, room, in, out and hours.

Attendance edits (audit)

Every change to an attendance record, with when it happened, the child, the day, who made it, and the value before and after. Switch on Include new records to also list records added after the fact.

Troubleshooting

  • You cannot find a chip. Scroll the chip row to the right, or widen the window. The reports read best on a computer.
  • A teacher cannot see the DCYF report. It is for center admins only.
